Civil Suits, Auto, Home or Business Owners Claims:
If you are involved in an accident or other suit and are seeking payment from the responsible party, we expect payment at the time of service. We do not bill the responsible party's insurance or attorney for your services due to the time it takes to settle these claims. Please do not request that we bill your regular health insurance in these cases as the claims will be denied.
Medicare Patients:
We accept Medicare patients that reside in Latah and Whitman Counties only. We will bill Medicare for all services. Services that are not covered by Medicare will be billed to the patient once Medicare denies payment and states it is the patients responsibility. We will bill Medicare and then your secondary for any remaining balances. If you do not have a secondary insurance, we will bill you, the patient, once Medicare has paid. You will only receive a statement when there is a balance due from patient.
Non-Contracted Health Insurance Carriers:
As a courtesy to all our patients, we will bill all health insurance companies. If we are not contracted with your health insurance company, you are responsible for the balance due within 30 days,. If your insurance has not paid for the services rendered within 30 days, regardless if your insurance pays. If we later receive payment from your insurance company we will refund any over payment to you. If you know your deductible has not been met or the service will not be covered by your insurance, we request that you pay at the time of your visit and take advantage of the 20% cash discount we offer to patients who pay at the time of service.
Co-payments and Deductibles:
Your insurance requires that you pay your co-pay at the time of service, so please do not ask our receptionists to "bill you". If we are contracted with your insurance carrier, we will bill your insurance. You will not receive a statement of balance due until after your insurance carrier has paid their portion (if any) of the charges. This balance is due within 30 days of the statement date.
Patients without Insurance Coverage:
Payment at time of service is required. We offer a 20% discount to patients who pay for their office visits or procedures at the time of service. The 20% discount does not apply to laboratory or x-ray services. We accept cash, check and Visa/Mastercard. Short-term payment plans are available, but must be requested prior to the services being performed.
