The academic year is rough enough…Why add more?!

Why add having the additional worry about where to go for health care, or what do when you aren’t feeling well. Accidents, illness and injuries happen. Let Palouse Medical help!

We are pleased to serve our local student populations, and assist them with their health care needs.  Palouse Medical has been working with the student community for years, dealing with a wide variety of health concerns.  We work closely with both Washington State University and The University of Idaho’s Student Health departments, as well as other area health care facilities.

Many students have a primary care provider at home, who is familiar with their health care history.  When away from this provider for long periods of time, such as an academic school year, it is often best to establish care locally to ensure there will not be any gaps in your health care.

Aside from preventative health, some students need to establish care with a primary care provider to address a wide variety of other health care concerns.  We accept most insurance plans and will assist patients with information and scheduling of any follow up care appointments when needed.

Here are some additional reasons for establishing care with a local physician:

  • Maintenance Medications (e.g., allergy, dermatologic, and contraceptive management)
  • Chronic or Major Health Issues (e.g., managing diseases/disorders, recent overall changes to health )
  • Minor Injuries/Sudden Illness
  • Sexual Health Concerns
  • Athletic Health Concerns
  • Mental Health (e.g., depression or anxiety)
  • Substance Abuse

.

We also see hundreds of patients every year in our ReadyCare clinic.
