Details on COVID Testing:
Due the nature and complexity of COVID-19 testing, we are only able to perform these tests on the weekdays during our on-site laboratory’s hours. This means that we are currently not able to test for COVID-19 through ReadyCare on Saturdays. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
COVID Testing on Saturdays
Please do not wait for care–We are happy to evaluate you in ReadyCare on a Saturday for your symptoms! If you are in urgent need of a COVID/Flu test, or a standalone COVID test on a Saturday, Sid’s Pharmacy (located just down the hall from our office) currently provides testing on Saturdays. All testing is done by appointment only via their drive through from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. Please give the pharmacy a call before going in: 509-332-4608.
If you would simply like to rule out COVID-19 only due to exposure and/or you do not feel your symptoms are in need of an evaluation, we would recommend using an at-home antigen test. These are available to buy over-the-counter at many local pharmacies. If you are having trouble finding any available, please inquire with Whitman County Health Department.
COVID/Flu Treatment on Saturdays
Since pharmacies are not able to prescribe medications, if you test positive for COVID or Flu at Sid’s Pharmacy and are interested in possibly being prescribed Tamiflu or Paxlovid for treatment, you will need to reach out to your primary care provider and provide them with your test result.
On Saturdays we can also refer you down to Sid’s for testing after a ReadyCare visit with us. In this case, our ReadyCare provider can potentially prescribe any necessary treatments once your positive test result has come back at Sid’s.
